Dorper Sheep Farming-Easy Startup.

Dorper sheep farming in Kenya is a highly profitable, fast-growing agribusiness due to the breed’s resilience, rapid growth (market weight in 4–6 months), and ability to thrive in arid/semi-arid regions. Known for excellent meat quality, these sheep breed frequently, often with high rates of twinning, low lamb mortality  and allowing for quick flock expansion and high returns with low maintenance. It is a suitable start up for youths and women empowerment. We offer skills on dorper sheep farming, linkage to breeders with pedigree sheep as well as collectivised marketing during peak season such as festivities and holiday seasons through our vibrant social media accounts. https://youtu.be/bwO8dleGKFc

Startups; Sure Path to beat Unemployment.

Many young people complete studies in college and hope for a good job. While this is the dream of every young person; a white collar job paying regular monthly salaries, the reality is the job market has shrunk, the skills needed keep changing, and today, patronage, has entered the field and replaced merit in many cases. This is the reason education should be a your key to open your doors and glasses to open your eyes to see clearly the opportunities, initiatives as well as partnerships you can create and build on. Startups are vibrant ideas often conceived to meet societal demands but lacking funds to execute. Everyday, there is a need for something that is in short supply, not regular, too costly, is not the best standard or quality thus requiring value addition. If you figure such and create a niche, you are good to go. These are the conversations we are having at KAENMCS- www.aenmcs.org @kaenmc.  We seek to help young people access resources to implement their startup ideas. There are many grants and charities that target innovation, creativity and initiatives that offer solutions, impact communities and transform the lives of vulnerable people in society. Cage Fish Farming, Lake Victoria, Kenya

In 2018, we pioneered cafe fish farming as a measure to cub lake degradation; overfishing, using illegal fishing gear, damaging breeding grounds, trawling fish including fingerlings, disrupting egg hatching as well as ecological destruction of lake flora and fauna. Then, with only about 5o cages, the initiative has grown to over 3000 fish cages at Luanda Kotieno Beach, Siaya County, Kenya. it provides jobs and livelihoods to hundreds of women and youth in fish mongering, trade with other counties and motorbike as well as vehicle transportation. A fish Processing Plant has been built by the national government for processing of fish and fish by products and targeting export markets. The beach is set to benefit a Port connecting it to Uganda and Tanzania. A dream 10 years ago is transforming a rural town into a regional economic hub. We look to scale up the Blue Economy to include Lake Bob, River Yala and Nzoia. We keep mobilising resources and looking for investment partners as well as funding to ensure fish production is environmentally friendly, sustainable and creating opportunities for vulnerable people in our communities.

Youth Community Empowerment Fundraising- Partnerships.

KAENMCS supports young people to fund-raise for their Self Help Groups, Community Based Organisations ( CBOs) as well as local NGOs. This localisation of initiatives, strengthening groups in order to seek and manage donor funds directly is a great step towards ensuring as much funds get to beneficiaries with minimal or low overheads and administration costs for the donors to cover. We seek to make local organisations donor attractive, affordable to fund and above all, have the capacity to manage funding prudently with best practices as the foundation. We are happy to partner with Jukwaa La Demokrasia, a national civil society group https://jukwaalademokrasia.org/ whose Founder Dickson Aluoch is working with us on funding.
